Welcome to the Programme for the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in the South West Region of Cameroon (PSMNR-SWR). Our mission is to preserve the unique biodiversity of the South West Region while enhancing the livelihoods of local communities. We work collaboratively with local communities, government agencies, and international partners to promote sustainable forest and wildlife management practices.
PSMNR-SWR is a comprehensive initiative aimed at protecting high-value ecosystems in the South West Region, which is recognized as one of the eight biodiversity hotspots in Africa. Our efforts are focused on five protected areas: Mount Cameroon National Park, Korup National Park, Takamanda National Park, Bakossi National Park, and the Banyang-Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary.
